Picked up a 86 Ford ranger last night that supposedly needed a fuel pump. A little messing around determined the fuel pump was fine and that the ignition was out and not letting the coil go hot. Little wire and a toggle switch and it fired right up. Guy had had the fuel lines running into a 12 volt pump and then into a gas can so I hooked them back up to the tank. Apparently, one had a leak....
After we got the fire out I did try starting it again and it fired right up, so I don't think it did much damage. It was on fire for less then a minute. Gotta wait and see when it is light out tomorrow.

Looking back at the video now, I can see the fuel leak. Anyway new fuel lines and I had it running for a while and then it quit. Think I may have shorter out he coil.
