I used to get to do a little hunting down here in Southern Peru. But with the massive influx of people from Commy Chavez Land came thousands of criminals.. So the solution was to disarm all residents which meant we had to sell or firearms..... So anyone been blessed by God with a good tasty critter ?

Why do the good so often in some way pay for the crimes of the bad ? You still have criminals preying on the now defenseless. If there is a right answer I would like to hear it. Over here in MT our elk hunt was a bust. The thing that ended it was our four wheeler died. We have been getting some foul weather but I braved that but when the wheeler died I have no way to go the last three miles from camp to my elk hunting ground and most importantly no way to get an elk out. It is impossible to continue without it so now I am home licking my wounds and trying to come up with a different plan. Camp was good and the old plan was good but equipment failure shut us down. I can only assume that the good Lord was saving me from some horrid disaster. My son Tony has been going out and rescuing stranded hunters put in harms way by the blizzard conditions with a continued forecast of more of the same.

i went inline deer hunting for just one day. then it hot, then rain, then windy and rain, then windy...so i cut the grass for the final time this year. my heart dr says that i have coronary artery disease so i go to hospital for stents, in rifle deer season!!! i'll have 3 days to hunt and then it's the hospital, then 1 or 2 days i'll recover and i'll go deer hunting again. the coronary artery disease (which i didn't know) is on my dad's side of family. grandpap, grandma, uncles and aunts, cousins, dad...and me, just to name few . i told both of my sons about it and i warned them, for all the good thats gonna do. ahh to be in your 20's again.......

Curious what’s wrong with the wheeler?
I went out for Caribou yesterday. I haven’t been in the BLM system for too long so had to go to glenallen to get my tags, and decided to drive down and hunt the way back. Took my 6.5 creedmoor, loaded the 4 wheeler and gear and hit the road.
Ran into a couple issues. #1 being that we have almost no snow in delta, and expected the same in unit 13. This was not the case, and I was fighting 15” of snow with no snowshoes.
The second issue I ran into is they changed that whole area to no motorized access for hunting. Which wouldn’t have been too bad, except it was a disaster. 200 cars parked in the highway waiting for the caribou to cross and then a serious crossfire when they did cross. I tried to hike in off the highway but without snowshoes that was quite a struggle. I decided I didn’t want to get shot along the highway so headed home and did some coyote calling on the way home, which was also a bust.

Tod, I have been asking for help for you. Have faith!
Jr. The wheeler started missing and cutting out to almost stop running. I was half way to my hunting spot early Thursday before light and had to turn back barley making it back up two steep hills to get back to camp. I made it back to camp and got it loaded but just barely. I pulled camp and headed home. I have some orders to do then will try to figure out what went wrong. Camp is done for this year as the snow has gotten too deep in the mountains. Coming out downhill loaded was not bad but I doubt I could get back in loaded.
