I am getting antsy! Some cool weather will send me off the deep end. Already having anxiety over what I will use and having it ready. You guys in Alaska are already half way through your moose season and here am I chomping at the bitt. I am having a thing right now with my 1886 win extra light in 33 wfc. I recently got a new mold for it in one of Veral Smith's LFN designs and it works splendidly. I am always torn between using one of my vintage rifles for the shear enjoyment of it or taking the "" no messing around"" approach and going with a scoped long range rifle to better insure the tag gets filled. These thoughts keep me awake at night. With the cost of food now the more efficient method has great merit. Anyway just like a steer all I can do is think about it, for now. Use this link www.gunbroker.com/item/945067094 and check the picture of the recovered bullet. It was fired at 100 yards into a dense solid piece of pine. It penetrate about 10" and expanded to 43 caliber with a 90% weight retention shredding a lot of hard pine on its way.. Auta be just about right for elk.
