Well I dont know about me not changing in 30 years but I can tell you for sure that the hat is the same. Tina bought me that hat when we first got together. She paid $16.00 for it and I told her she paid way too much. Looking back now I guess it wasn't that bad an investment after all. It is still my regular winter hat but it is due for an oil change.

Yep! Same headgear for sure! A classic just like you by any standard!! I was thinking about us earlier today, remembering the times we would travel down to a gun show in Anchorage(which is no small trip) and how we would hang out at night in the camper on the Ford with the wood heater inside! That was always fun and still brings a smile to my face everytime I think about it! Still have the first rifle you helped me buy from that first time I went to an Anchorage show. It’s a Browning High Power rifle in 308 Norma, 300 win mag for all intents and purposes, $450 seemed like a bunch of money way back then but I can think of a quality bolt gun with an FN Supreme action you could get close to for $450 no days!!

I remember advising on that rifle and was pleased you bought it. Another good long term investment for sure. I also remember a gun show in Anchorage were I got really sick and thank God you were there to cover for me in running my table. I remember what you said after the show when you handed me a big wad of cash, "" those 20's really add up"" We were selling a lot of $20.00 ammo there. The blessing to me was not just that you volunteered to fill in for me but also that I knew every cent you took in you gave to me. Complete trust is something earned and you had mine. What a comfort! I learned long ago from working in the woods that if your camping no matter in a tent or camper or whatever if you want to keep your things dry you have to have a wood stove. Any other type of heat produces condensation which you obviously don't want on guns and my camper always had guns. Getting a new camper always meant tearing out the factory heat source usually propane and installing a wood stove. Happiness is dry guns! You know Rob I still have that same stove. It is now in my casting shed. My casting shed is one of those heavy steel buildings with a door on two sides that you see along the railroad tracks usually housing switch controls. I know what your thinking but on this one I will adopt William Jefferson Clintons policy of "" don't ask don't tell "" OH BTW I just noticed, look at the hat I am wearing in my avatar picture.

Oh yeah! I noticed you wearing the hat the first time I logged onto the site and saw your avatar picture! I had forgotten about the time we went to Anchorage and you did get really really sick, I do remember now being very worried about you and also about my ability to run your table and make it a good enough show to be worth the efforts and also produce much needed cash flow for the family and business. It means so much you had so much faith in me so early in our friendship! I can tell all the folks here that I’ve done a million different deals with my friend here and we never had anything more than a handshake to seal the deal, nothing else was ever required! It seems funny somehow to be talking about events that are now half my life ago! Great times with the best friend I’ve ever had for sure!!
