This is something I have been wanting to share for a long time. This is our low tech low budget bullet trap. We get these whenever we see one at the local dumpster site which we can see from our living room window 2 miles away. This one has been in use for going on one year. As you can see I just today replaced the front face. As the face gets shot up the contents begins to fall out so I just empty the front freezer compartment put in a new backer then re-fill the compartment. The trap media is dry horse manure. The dry manure has no odor and most importantly has no rocks. Any rocks inside tend to shatter the bullets so my recovery volume is smaller. This trap works good for about any cartridge we have tried so far which includes many large ones. It does the job of stopping bullets and saving lead at a cost of zero $ I thought sharing this might give folks an idea for something they might do to serve the purpose. Ours yields 2 to 3 heaping coffee cans full of lead each year and with the cost of lead now that is like finding a couple hundred dollars every year. Attachments:

Another helpful idea ! Thank you Brother Dan. One day I trust we will have our own backyard range with all the blessings attached.
