Hi Dan, Well it was cool enough to take a few shots with the chronograph, just shy of 90 degrees. I tried your suggested load and sample bullets you sent. I loaded 3 rounds of the Paul Jones bullet (545 grain) over 21 grains of 2400. Speeds were 1292, 1292, and 1291. Now that is consistent!! Best I have ever got. My target showed a nice clover leaf about .75" at 98 yards! Wow!! What a great combination.
(This was in a 45-70).

Same customer It pleases me to no end !
Hi Dan, Just thought I would let you know how I shot in Wyoming with my 1874 Sharps. I hit the big white Buffalo at 1000 yards on my 3rd try! The load of 21 grains of 2400 and the Paul Jones bullets you sent worked amazing! It was so fun being able to hit that long range target. I've tried a few times in the past to hit it, but this was the first time I heard a "ding"!! Thank you very much for your help and suggestions, I really appreciate it!!

Daniel, I am also a happy customer. With your help in sending me info. about how to use my "Parts Unknown" vernier sight, I was able to hit 11 targets at the Quigley Shoot at Forsyth this year, using my Pedersoli "John Bodine" target rifle. That was 4 more hits than I ever had with my trapdoor. I had 1 on the offhand "pail" at 350 yds., ( I think the barrel was made from rubber, as it wobbled so much), 5 on the rectangle at 417 yds, 1 on the diamond at 405 yds., 0 on the square at 530 yds., 4 on the octagon at 600 yds., & 0 on the buffalo at 805 yds. My spotter told me that I was all around the buffalo, but I couldn't hit it. When I arrived there on Tuesday, June 15, it was 118 degrees. It was hot, windy & dusty all week. They even had a small fire on the range in front of the firing line on Friday during practice. There was a small fire truck there as a precaution. I showed Dave Gullo from Buffalo Arms in Ponderay, Idaho 3 of your bullets that you cast for me, the Gov't 405 gr. hollow base, the 500 gr. RN, & the 535 gr Postell. He said that they looked very good, & asked what lube was on them. I told him that it was your own recipe. It didn't get runny in the heat. I gave him one of your cards. Dave also won the match again with a score of 40 hits out of 48 shots. He also won in 2017.
