But today was a excellent day. Had the day off so spend some time shooting a few of my toys. This was the first time I have had the 1911 at the range without having any problems with it. In fact the only gun I did have a problem with was my Stevens 320 pump action 12ga. Not sure why the 12ga screwed up, but I went to eject a shell and it wont come off of the extractor how hard I try to pry it off, so I'll have to take it apart and see whats wrong with it. Few of the guns I had at the range, the list includes my Remington 1911, Ruger Single six 32 mag, Ruger 270, Turkish Mauser 308, Interarms Mauser 25/06 with way excessive headspace, My old Hopkins and Allen 16ga single shot, and the Stevens 320 12ga. Rest of the toys and the ammo. I Have been shooting all of my rifles at 100 yards lately, so decided to stretch it out a bt today and set up the backboard at 300. I had to guess on the clicks for the 25/06 and the 270 and clicked a bit too high, but hit it just right with the 308 shooting surplus FMJ ammo. With the 270 I was shooting the 130 Sierra flat base spitzer. 25/06 was shot with some ammo I had just laying around. I'm gonna have to add photos of the Targets later. My computer is being extra slow tonight and is not liking trying to attach photos. I'll do it with my phone once the battery charges up on it.

Alright, lets try this again. The drawn circles are traced off of the bottom of a tuna can. First up is 100gn Vmax from the 25/06. 11 rounds at 300 yards. Next up, also 25/06. 6 rounds of old 120gn Imperial bullets, shooting at the lower circle. This one was with the M77 MK2 270 left handed shooting 130gn Sierra spitzers over 53gn IMR 4350. For some reason this photo turned clockwise on me.The 270 holes should be at the top of the target from the other day when I sighted the rifle in at 100 (the three touching were the last three shots) Im a cheap guy and reused the target because t didn't have that many holes, and I honestly didn't expect the 308 to shoot that good with old surplus ammo. The 4 with the lines drawn connecting them were fired with the 308 and surplus ammo. And finally 2 mags from the 1911 and two cylinders from the single six at 25 yards. I need to work on my pistol shooting skills a little bit. The second to last shot from the 1911 actually decided t shot my sand bag, and mortally wounded it. I tried to perform surgery on it when I got hme, but the poor old sandbag didn't make it, so I'm in the market for a new shooting rest. This was a cheapy one I got off of ebay and I'm honestly surprised it lasted this long, since the rear one that came with it fell apart the second time I used it.

Nice shooting! Wish I could shoot a handgun that well at 300 yards. I do pretty good at 300".

Thought I had stated that the handguns were shot at 25 yards, but guess I didn't.

Just jerking your chain Bullethead. Looks like the 25/06 did reasonable well. Good enough to whak a coyote at that range.
