Talking about the 17s the other day, figured I'd show off the other end. This is a 16" contender in 45/70. I'm not sure what the load is, but it was some old bullshop ammo with a 510gn paper patch bullet. Shoots decentlye enough, but three rounds is about all I care to shoot at a time. I have a 10" 44 mag barrel for this platform as well, but never shoot it since recoil is much more brutal then any of my 44 mag revolvers. http://instagram.com/p/B8kUL3cJrkV

I tried one of those and quickly found that it was more handgun than I cared to shoot!!! That built in break works great to tame muzzle flip but that straight back recoil sure stings the palm.

It really is not that much fun to shoot. It wouldn't be too bad in a revolver where it can roll on the hand. I'm probably going to sell this pretty soon, but can't send a gun down the road having not shot it.
