Whether on ships, landing craft or overloaded C-47's brave men our's and from numerous other countries stormed well defended beaches and changed the course of history but paid for it with their own personal horrors and far to many with their lives.

God blessed America! America turned from God. God has shown us in the Old testament Bible as He did the Hebrew people that we can be healed if only we turn back to him as a nation and as a matter of policy. We are now in the process of turning back to God as policy. "" We battle not flesh and blood but power and principalities "" Its another tough battle !!! MAGA by making God great again !!! MAGA !!! BTW My Dad, Antonio Thomas Congiolosi fought his way across France and into Germany until it was liberated. He told me that he carried a BAR across French farm country and that troops advanced behind the BAR men. He said that once they entered cities the BAR had no tactical advantage for close range fighting so he adopted the Thompson for city fighting. He seldom mentioned but on a few rare occasions spoke of the effectiveness of the Thompson for street fighting. """ No greater love has any man than to lay down his life for another """ God bless them all !!!

both of my grandfathers went to WW2. pap(dad's side) was the 1st wave at omaha beach. grandpap(mom's side) came in late November '44 in the 99th division as a replacement. he was one those men that called themselves "Butler's Battlin' Blue Bastards". he was one those that didn't retreat in the battle of the bulge. pap was in the 743rd tank battalion. he and many others had the DD tank sink. he was picked up by a higgins boat on the way to the beach. if you ever seen the opening "Saving Private Ryan", then you know(a little bit) of what happened. pap was sitting in his chair and seeing "saving Private Ryan". it got to the point that he could see tracers coming in, arms blown off...and pap had enuff. pap switched off the tv and he said, "i lived it and i don't to live again."
neither of my paps' said much about combat. but they would do funny stories about the war. like the time my pap said in France that there were magnum bottles of champagne, so they thought, where they could put in? well, they did,in the tank they took ammo compartments, took the shells out and put the champagne in. it was fine, good and dandy until the old man(officer) showed up!!! thats one i would like to see!!!
no one did the armed forces(army, navy, air, marines) expect for me, US Army('91-'99). both of my heroes have died, but i still salute them.
