Just recently got my reloading stuff set back up after a couple of years of not reloading. I had to get out of USPSA because the cost of factory 45 ACP ammo was killing me.
Decided I wanted to go shoot a USPSA match this past weekend so broke out my load data card box. I had wrote down my chrony load using HS6 the last time I shot. Grabbed a card for 45 acp that used HS6 and a 200gn SWC, but didn't bother to look at what gun it was for. Loaded 20, went and shot them, gun ran fine, cool. Loaded 500.
Apparently the load card I grabbed that said 6gn HS6 was for a Ruger convertible. My chrony load is 8.1gn of HS6. Got to the match and gun wouldn't run at all. 3-4 FTE per mag. Worst I've ever scored at a match, although even with my 30% failure rate, I still didn't come in last place.
In the future I'm thinking I'm gonna have a separate box for my competition load data.
