My two youngest out for a walk about looking for rabbits today 9/17/16. Only saw one rabbit and it took off so fast I thought it could out run a bullet from the 25-20 we had. Still it was a good day to be on the mountain. Ever notice when God came to communicate with anyone it was on a mountain? Guess there is just something about being on a mountain that God and I like.

Maybe you need to back off of those wascally wabbits for a little while. That way, they might not be so skittish and the younguns will have a better chance! Actually, if the rabbits are scarce, it oughta be a good winter for coyotes.

They aren't really scarce we just went to the wrong place for cotton tails at the wrong time of day. We were in jack country though but again middle of the day is always poor hunting for jacks. It was more of just a hike than a hunting trip. Those two in the pic are always asking to go rabbit hunting and also always asking me to cook rabbit for them, they love fried cotton tail.
OH and BTW the place in the pic has snow this AM.

well at least they ask you, not tell you !!! its good to let them go hunting, even for a walk. down here in PA its still 70+ deg out. about the end of october, the begining of november we usually get a couple inches of the white stuff. it goes away and comes back and goes away and it goes away...

We get pretty cold here mainly due to the 6000 ft elevation.
