""""Good morning! Quick question regarding your 311332 gas checked bullets. I see you are selling them sized to .310. Would you by chance offer them sized to .311, or possible .312. The Krag rifle I use for cast bullets slugs out at .310. I have used your offered bullet in my 03 Springfield and it holds the 10 ring at 100 yards very well at the local CMP Match. Please advise on the size availability. Thank you. Larry in Missouri""""
That might be possible depending on just how large a diameter they drop from the mold. How ever we must not only look at your barrel groove diameter we must also look at your barrel bore diameter. With this type of bullet the nose section of the bullet has to be a close snug fit to the bore or accuracy may be impossible. This bullet is dimensioned for bore diameter of .300” to .301” diameter at the bullets nose. If your barrel groove diameter is larger than standard then I would expect also that your barrel bore diameter may also be larger than standard which in turn would give too loose a fit between the bore ride section of the bullets nose and the actual bore diameter of your barrel.
With your oversize barrel dimensions it may be a better idea to go with a bullet designed for larger dimensions like something designed for the 303 British which normally has a bore diameter of .303” as opposed to our standard of .300” The Lyman # 314299 is similar in shape to the # 311332 but has a larger diameter on the bore ride section of the nose as well as the drive bands.
