i got about a full can of sno seal that i bought years ago. i've been wondering what to do with it(other than leather boots) and i wondered if it take patches for a round ball? i know that you can use mink oil, but what about beeswax(sno seal)?

sno seal patches doesn't work in my cva hawken. there is too much sno seal and burned powder left in the barrel to do the next shot. you have to hammer, yes, a 3 lb wooden hammer, it down. not such a good idea with only one arm. i'll use ox yoke wonder lube.

When I go to the range I rely on plain old spit. Plop a patch on my tongue and begin the reload. Hunting I load the ball on a olive oil patch cannot say it makes a bit of difference for us as we hunt river bottoms and range is always close and sometimes gets personal.
