I am going to wager a guess that marlin lever action rifles will now take a major jump in price. When the price of a new rifle goes up so too does the price of used in the same models. No more cheap used Marlin 30-30's. On the other hand I hope we see hammer forged barrels on all Marlin/Ruger rifles.

I think we will see some cool stuff. Ruger has always. Den good about limited runs of interesting things.

Those hammer forged barrels would be a huge step in a good direction. Especially if they get screwed on straight.

Very encouraging news. What few Marlins I have, all are JMs but one. Never thought I’d buy a Remlin but I did buy one DOM 2018. Fit & finish good to very good. Before shooting it I tore it down to inspect internal parts. Did a lot of polishing, modified 2 springs & replaced a third. Now its the smoothest running “Marlin” I have. Course it is chambered for 45 Colt (Bullshop Bullets naturally).
A lot of fun using it for cowboy pistol caliber sihoulettes. Now, if I could only do my part.’

""Now, if I could only do my part.’"" I am considering coming out with a book of list of excuses. I have over the years come up with a long list of reusable reasons of why a shot was less than intended. I believe this list will be of great interest to all shooters. It should become a helpful addition to our business offerings and very likely a cash coy to business. Signed copies will be available at a premium price. This book should enhance everyone's perceived shooting ability and we all know that just as in politics perception trumps truth .

Been working (a little) on my puny upper body strength that might help the muzzle not wave around. Esp on those 200 yd rams. In the meantime I have discovered that my score improved by making larger tgts😏
Usually make my own tgts as 80 year-old eyeballs & period correct sights are a bit of a challenge for me. Shape & color make a big difference. Course shoot’in for record means official tgts but I shoot for fun more than anything else. Went to the dollar store last wk & bought a few large sheets of hvy poster paper in various colors. Temp is dropping a little here in W WA & not much sunlight. Got over the “girlie” thing & made some 150-200 yd tgts using the flat black for background & a circle of matte, phlorescent pink. My front sight finds it pretty accommodating. So does. My bargin spotting scope.

I do about the same thing but either white on black or black on white gives the greatest contrast for me. I prefer white on black because the front sight becomes black so the white center shows up best for my eyes. A roll of white butcher paper makes a whole bunch of white backed targets.

We use the up-side down T made with black markers on white paper Gives a very precise horizontal base and a vertical line to align with.

Good idea Missionary. I have used a black diamond on a white background for sight alignment but your idea is faster. But on those few bright sunny days here in W Wa the reflection off the white is a little too much for me.

This time of the year the low down sun could be an issue glaring off a white surface. I wonder how a grey or black paper would be with a white inverted T ?
