Answer --- If the bullet diameter is a good fit to the barrel velocities well in excess of 1800 fps are easily attainable with good accuracy and no leading.

Question --- I do not know a lot about cast bullets , just wanted to know if these can be gas check ( 200gn round nose plain base ). just worry about lead build up from not having a gas check ? was looking to load some subsonic 308 loads, I see you also have some 170gr with gas checks and may try some of those but the price of these caught my eye for doing some testing with loads. any input would be great thanks Rich

Answer ---  Gas checks are absolutely not needed for subsonic loads assuming an alloy of proper hardness, bullet diameter compatible with bore/groove dimensions, and a good bullet lube.
