Could I get some photos and advise on 1911 feed ramps? Working over my 1911 the other day, I set the barrel forward and down like it is supposed to be (it hung back past the mag well slightly before and dis not sit down into the barrel bed at all) and now it does not feed for crap.

Wish I could help on this, but photos on the internet are beyond me, and having had zero feed problems with 1911 platforms, I have no advice to give either. Perhaps this is a case for one of the 1911 or Colt oriented forums (fora, forae)?

I think I got it close. I bought a cone shaped stone for the Dremel and then a polish one as well. I got it ground down to a better shape, and it feeds now, so now I think all I need to do is work on polishing it a bit better so there is no drag. This gun was great out of the box, but the more I learn about the 1911 platform, the more I realize is wrong with this gun, so last week I took it down to the frame and refit every part by hand and replaced a few parts, so once I get it to where it will feed 100% I think it will be a much better gun.

Think I finally got this dang thing to where it will work, but could still be better.

Finally got the feed ramp to where the gun will almost feed emptys, but now the slide stop is catching the slide and holding it open about every third round. One thing after another.
