Finished up loading rounds for the Dutch Mannlicher 6.5x53R (same loading data as used by 6.5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer), using a March-April 1991 article in Handloader magazine, by Ken Waters - if ya can't trust Ken Waters, who can you trust? Cast bullet: Lyman 266469 143 gr, recently obtained from The Bull Shop, 1500+ fps. Soft point: Hornady 160 gr RN, pretty much a standard for these old 6.5's, though Hornady has held off making them for 5 years now. Solid: 155 gr Copper Solid FP, CNC turned from Cutting Edge Bullets. Have an adequate supply of loaded ammo, now need to wait on the weather for some shooting. There's still plenty of snow atop of the Continental Divide, where I generally shoot most of the time. It'll be a few weeks before have a field report.

Vary interesting and will be watching this. The solid copper turned bullet looks very much like the group buy we did for the cruise missal. I think that will weigh in at about 170gn cast in ww. We do still have it if you become interested. I know this is your field of interest so have fun!!!

Greetings Those are some deadly looking long range missiles ! Considering the shooter has all the clicks and wind right, out to how many yards would those projectiles be accurate ? Mike in Peru

That long copper bullet looks like it might have an on board guidance system.
