Not really a shotgun guy, but I currently have 5 of then sitting in the closet. I've always had fixed choke shotguns, but recently picked one up that is threaded for chokes. I only got a modified choke with it, and started looking online for some other chokes and it boggles my mind how many there are. What are the basic ones I should have around. I initially though IC, M, and F would do but I see there are skeet chokes and turkey chokes and all kinds of others. Are those even Tighter then full?

Yes some will be tighter than full, and some will be marked full "for steel" or "Full Only for lead".. Many of the older "Trap" shotguns shot a lot tighter than standard"full choke, regardless of the markings.I've shot a lot of shotgun(s) over well more than 60 years of hunting & Playing (trap, skeet, 3 stand,et al)and over 90% of that could have been handled darn well, with one of the four standards(None, Imp.Cyl.,Mod. & Full) chokes.. It's all fun though..Modern shotshells through pre 1950 guns will normally produce tighter patterns than the guns are marked... 1Oxxxxxxx..
