I've got a Ruger single six in 32 mag with the 4 and 5/8 inch barrel that is driving me bonkers. This was the first pistol I bought after a several year streak of not having any guns, and for a long time thought the accuracy problem was me. Not that I have several other handguns, and shoot them all pretty well, I'm starting to think it's not so much me but the gun. I can just never get this thing to shoot very well. I've tried everything from 80 gn to 130gn bullets, ranging from mouse fort to knocking out the cylinder pin, both cast and jacketed, and can not get accuracy that I am happy with. I'm about to box it up and sell it, but thought I would ask all you guys if you have any ideas before I do that.

You're not getting much help here SH. Since you are shoot well with other handguns, seems your assessment of it being the handgun is correct. From those I've had the pleasure of shooting, Ruger single actions make it hard to NOT hit what you are aiming at. Maybe give a call to Ruger. Or the folks over at-- rugerforum.net/ruger-single-action/ --should be able to offer their insights. Once in a long while, I've read posts where folks say that their Ruger cylinder has a smaller throat than the barrel caliber--causes accuracy problems. Buckeye convertibles are the only Blackhawks I've read much about. If you can trade that .32 Mag for a .32-20/.32 H&R Magnum, I'd say you'd live happily until your trigger-finger wore out. We have two of those in our family and they are sweet handguns--feel comfortable, no shock wave to your face, plenty strong for higher pressures (if one wants to go there,) dependable, accurate. And while you are at it, why not add a Buckeye .38-40/10mm to your belt? Nothing like a beautiful pair of blue-black revolvers! (That's my CC arm.) A tad bulky, but if you asked it to, it would readily empty a bully's soda can at 50 yards.) Good luck to you.

This pistol went down the road awhile back. I finally just had enough of it.
