Does anyone know where to get the o rings for lyman/RCBS style sizing dies? Or can I just go to napa and get some of the correct size? And one know what size in that case?

We get ours at NAPA. We just recently got a new supply. We get a dozen at a time because we do go through them rather quickly having several presses that use them. Bring in an old one to match thickness and diameter. They have the same diameter but in different thickness. Thickness is important to proper function. I believe we get the thickest one in the same diameter. If need be I can mic thickness and inside/outside diameters for you.

I'll see if I have another die that has one. My .451" die was seeping lube around the top edge in my lyman 45, and when I touched the Oring with a pic it fell out in a couple of dry shriveled up old pieces.

OOPS!!! I thought you meant the O-Rings for the plunger in the lube reservoir. I bet you can get the one for the die there as well. I don't use those on my dies and have no problem with lube leakage but I use an RCBS sizer and most often in a cool room with no heat to the sizer.

I don't have a problem with the 450 leakind, because it has the nut that holds the sizing die in, but the 45 does not so relies on th Oring to keep lube from seeping. I would just use the 450 but it is off center and with anything other then flat nose bullets it will badly shave bullets on only one side.

With your 450 sometimes you can still do good work even if alignment is poor if you first pre size nose first with a flat punch on the bullet base then with a fairly loose nose punch re size/lube as normal. Sometimes I do this even on my RCBS sizer with bullets that come from a mold that is more than normally out of round. No lube pressure on the nose first sizing but I do use our Bullsize case sizing lube on the bullets before nose first sizing. I apply it just as I do when sizing cases. This works because the bullet lube and case lube have the same ingredients just in different proportions so the sizing lube will not effect the bullet lube from adhering to the bullet. Often times this gives acceptable results when base first sizing alone does not.

I've tried that. Unfortunately this sizer I'd quite a bit off center, and it still seems to shave, especially with long bullets. I can get away with using it on short flat nose bullets though.

Sounds like you found your new anchor for this summer when you get your boat on the water.
