Inspired by Old gun nuts post, I tried hs6 today. I used factory cases and factory 40 gr bullets. I started at 6.3 grs and worked up to 7.3. My primer choice was cci 400s.
I didn't get 100% reliability until I got to 7.3 grs. The blast and fireball were much less than with 110 or Lilgun.
Average velocities were as follows.
6.3. 1811fps. 686 es
6.5. 1869. 168 es
6.7. 1983. 53.5 es
6.8. Malfunctioning chronograph
6.9. Malfunctioning chronograph
7.3. 2112 fps. 41.43 es
This was in a 5" double stack.
With Lilgun or 110, the primer flattens but still shows an indentation, of sorts.
With hs6, no indentation is present, it just looks like the silver color is wiped off where the firing pin hit it.
Accuracy was much improved compared to 110 and lilgun, but I have this nagging feeling that the pressure curve might be too short.
I'm no expert, so I'll just call it a feeling. Case heads were a little more burnished than top loads with 110. I'll see if I can get some pics posted.[imgcontent://media/external/file/18255img]

On the left are hs6 loads, on the right are Lilgun loads, and the center shows primers of duds.
Left is bottom of pic.

Wow!...2112 top velocity; THAT is cool!
I took some of my reloads to an indoor range and let my son shoot them. He had a couple of pretty impressive groups. And he loves the 22 TCM(first time he shot it).
I'll have t o look at my notes, but I think 7.1 grains is the heaviest I have loaded.
Also, I use Winchester magnum pistol primers; I will be trying the CCI small rifle primers in the future.
I think I will continue to use HS6 as my main powder for the TCM.
Thank you for posting you findings!

The factory loads and my loads with 110 or Lilgun had indentations visible from the firing pin visible, where the hs6 loads didn't. I've never seen anything like that before.
