Several people down here tell me I am on the nutsy side of smart going to the mountains solo on a 2 wheeler. But I normally tell them I am never alone and He Who guides knows all that awaits around each corner.

Great stories all the way around! Made me smile like a possum eating peaches! The picture of the “old” Ford sure brought back a lot of great memories! I’ve spent more than a little time sleeping in the back of the Ike war wagon! Great to know it’s still on the road! Mike, I really enjoyed you story about the grouse, they were always fun to run down, up in Alaska I always cheated a little though, when we were in the field I always carried a 4” S&W model 29 44mag and would keep a pack of the CCI sit shells for it either in my pocket or pack. If we happened upon a mess of them I’d make everyone stop and I’d change loads and go to work. It’s amazing how happy you can make your buddies with some fresh AK prairie chicken cooked on a spit over a nice fire with a little salt and pepper.
