I must agree with my fellow members here. I’m by no means rich as far as money is concerned but I’m extremely rich to have a great family and one or two special friends! That being said if you have even the most basic knowledge about guns, especially vintage guns you are far better off buying something you like that you can enjoy versus sticking that money into a savings account. I’m not aware of any bank around here anyway that pays more than one percent! I don’t know if it’s very smart to admit but I keep more money in my gun safe than I do in the bank! It’s just scary to me the way things seem to be going in our country now and now the federal reserve is talking about going to digital currency! One thing is for sure, if something really bad did happen those with guns and ammo to go with them will be far better off than those folks who just put all their money bin the bank.

i would luv to have a 22 2-R Lovell, but i can't afford it now. i am glad to see that someone still writes about the Lovell. I just ran across this post while looking up 25-20ss brass info. I've got a Stevens 44 1/2 in 25ss. Ive got brass and molds, but was interested in learning how to make brass from 223. The late Bob Haley was doing it, but unfortunately we can't ask him how he did it. I have a used Risley 2R barrel that is supposedly threaded for a High Wall. It's in great shape if you, or anyone here is interested. It was probably swapped out for a more available caliber. I was thinking about re-chambering it, but haven't gotten around to it yet because I'm not too sure what would be a good transition.
